You would not be nuts to love coconut!

Coconut is one of my all-time favorite things to eat, but it not only tastes good, it is super nutritious too!

Here are a few things to know about how you can buy Coconut and if they are beneficial to your health.

Coconut milk is   produced by pureeing a mixture of coconut meat and water, then   straining it to remove some of the fat (has very little nutritional value).

Coconut Cream  has a higher ratio of coconut to water content and 99% of the time has sugar added to it (has very little nutritional value).

Coconut water is the liquid in a young coconut when you first crack it open and has the most nutritional value out of all the Coconut products you can buy.

Coconut Oil is an edible oil extracted from the kernel or meat of matured coconut  harvested from the coconut palm and is very nutritious if you buy the  right type.

Dr. Blaylock on MSG, Aspartame, and low Magnesium

For those of you that don't know Dr. Russell Blaylock, he is a neurosurgeon  who has taken an interest in things like MSG, Aspartame, and other  poisons found in our food and has studied and explain some of the effects  tey have on the body.

I get so many e-mails everyday that I don't subscribe to any newsletters  but my father subscribes to a lot and he always forwards the really good  ones to me so I don't miss out on them. Recently, I received one that  was an interview with Dr. Blaylock on MSG, Aspartame, and low Magnesium  and this is what he had to say:

Interview:
Dr.  Blaylock: Right. Another big scandal concerning the research is  something new we found. We discovered that outside of the brain, there  are numerous glutamate receptors in all organs and tissues. The entire  GI tract, from the esophagus to the colon, has numerous glutamate  receptors. The entire electrical conducting system of a heart is replete with all sorts of glutamate receptors. The lungs, the ovaries, all the reproductive systems and sperm itself, adrenal glands, bones and even  the pancreas are all controlled by glutamate receptors. They act and  operate exactly like the glutamate receptors in the brain. So, when  you're consuming MSG, the level of glutamate in the blood can rise as  high as 20-fold. You get very high glutamate levels in the blood after  eating a meal containing MSG. You're stimulating all of the glutamate  receptors. That's why some people get explosive diarrhea and dyspepsia,  because it stimulates the receptors in the esophagus and small bowel.  Others may develop irritable bowel, or if they have irritable bowel, it  makes it a lot worse. If they have reflux, it makes that a lot worse.  The thing about the cardiac conduction system glutamate receptors is this may explain the rise in sudden cardiac death. > Read more here...
